Human Remains Detection

Carrie Condra has been working with dogs for well over 20 years, receiving her Master Trainer Certification from North Mississippi K9 in 2002. Before that, she was involved in protection sports. She titled her first Malinois to Ring 1 in the early 2000's and was the vice-president and training director of a Schutzhund Club in Alabama. Then, she fell in love with Search and Rescue. 
 
For the last 9 years, she has been a member of Golden Triangle K9 Search Team (GTR). She is also an active member of the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA), and the American Working Dog Association (AWDA), as well as an AKC CGC evaluator. At this time, she has certified between 10 and 15 dogs in various areas of search and rescue. 
 
Over the years, she has done several board and trains, including in basic OB, advanced OB, off leash OB and behavioral modifications. She has also trained multiple dogs in cadaver detection, narcotics detection, explosives, and medical alert. 
 
Often, she is deployed along with the FBI, the SBI, the MBI, State Police and local law enforcement, as well as families of the victims. 
 
In 2021 two of her dogs placed 1st and 3rd in the USPCA Region 26, Regional Patrol and Detection Trials in cadaver detection. In 2022 one of her dogs placed 1st in the USPCA Region 26, Regional Patrol and Detection Trials in cadaver detection. Then, in 2023 two more of her dogs placed 1st and 3rd in the USPCA Region 26, Regional Patrol and Detection Trials in cadaver detection. In addition to all of that, one of her personal dogs was nominated and awarded the Birmingham Humane Society’s Olivia Bearden Award for Providing a Specific Service to Humans (2017).
 
On top having several years of training experience and awards for her dogs, she has an MBA in Business Management and is a member of the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society.
